Dr. Arvin Adler, a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist, has practiced in the greater metropolitan region for two decades. After completing his residency at Montefiore Medical Center – Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, he joined the faculty at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Dr. Adler has been a member of Cornell University’s teaching faculty and is presently Clinical Associate Professor at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Adler maintains a broad expertise in the management of prostate cancer and he developed the first Prostate Seed Brachytherapy program at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Adler is a leader in commissioning the latest technology, developing multidisciplinary Tumor Boards, and directing hospital and freestanding radiation oncology centers.
Dr. Adler, as a principal investigator for National Cancer Institute (NCI) sponsored clinical studies, has participated in several research trials including the National Surgical Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) and Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). He lectures his peers in the medical community and is frequently an invited guest at patient support groups to discuss various topics, including: prostate, breast, skin, and head and neck cancers.
Dr. Adler is committed to delivering compassionate care using the most technologically advanced and precise forms of Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT). When not at the office, Dr. Adler is an avid sports enthusiast who regularly plays tennis and softball.
